women play an important role for their position in society.

Women have been disadvantaged in many ways, such as when some parents would not allow them, as girls, to go to school.Their value was seen in terms of the dowry their parents received from the men who married them, most times before they were even ready for that.It is still hard for some people in many areas in our country to adjust to the fact that times have changed, and women should receive the same opportunities as the male members of their families. And a fact that many cannot underplay is that women have been important managers of homes, no matter how depressing their financial positions could be.

It is in this vein that the Government is taking steps to ensure that the womenfolk become financially independent.
The culture that allowed them to be totally dependent on their husbands, or men in their families, is being discouraged because it partly accounted for the physical, psychological, and sexual abuse they suffered most of the time.Through out history, society has stereotyped women, making it merely impossible for women to achieve her goals and desires in life. In life and in this county women have always been treated as second best by biased men. Women have always been treated like they are never good enough for careers outside of the home. The sex of a person should not determine what type of duties or what kind of job a person will have. It should be up to a person's own will not the decisions of society.
society was contributed by religious beliefs and the constant negative attitude that man has given women. Women were treated like they were property of men, with no voice in their own fate. Changes in the family began when women wanted more from life.
Depending on a womans role or class in society, she could be restricted or praised by her words and actions. As in almost any civilization, money brings certain advantages, the greatest one of the Renaissance times being education. The upper class women were taught that silence towards and obligation to their husbands was considered proper. Eloquence was equivalent to silence in the male frame of mind. Ke Any act of liberation was seen as a violation against God.
